Many
thanks to the voters and contributors who supported me in 2006. I missed
being elected by 296 votes and have been urged to run again and win
in 2008.

Since 2006, I have broadened my experience and service to the community
and am now Chair of the Environmental Planning Commission. I have extended
my community service work also, serving on several advisory councils
and supporting trail and other environmental organizations.
I have lived in Mountain View for 33 years and been very active in the
community since 1999. I'm running again for City Council to maintain
high-quality city services and judiciously manage the city budget for
Mountain View residents.
My background as a city commissioner for nearly seven years and working
in engineering and project management qualify me to oversee municipal
operations, public safety, civil infrastructure, planning and development
and city finances. I have been an active city volunteer, mediator, and
regularly participate in habitat restoration and trail work.
I
have worked with many sports and recreation groups and residents regarding
yard trees, playground design, and expanding and preserving park space.
As a planning commissioner, I have analyzed and investigated zoning
changes and environmental impact for major developments; e.g., South
Whisman and transit oriented developments to revitalize older industrial
areas.
I will advocate housing strategies that serve the greatest number of
those in need of quality market rate and affordable housing, and planning
and review processes that provide good housing compatible with neighborhoods
and infrastructure.
I will continue my volunteer ethic supporting community, social service,
environmental and sports organizations.
I
will continue to improve Mountain View's quality of life and keep our
town a great place to do business, live and raise a family.
